A MOMENT'S OBLIVION WORLD PREMIERE PROFILED BY IDEASTREAM PUBLIC MEDIA

Ideastream Public Media aired a feature on last year's world premiere of A Moment's Oblivion, a cantata by Viet Cuong commissioned by Les Délices and written for tenor Nicholas Phan.

The piece traces the work's origins through a Chinese myth about memory loss, a text shaped by Cleveland poet Dave Lucas, and Cuong writing in a Baroque form — and the larger questions about memory and healing at its heart.
